Highlights from the May 2024 Release
Below are what we consider to be the most significant changes for our customers in this month’s release. As always, for the full list of changes and supplementary information in the release navigate to the URL at the end of this post or contact PARC for more information or assistance.
EPM Cloud Platform
Loading Oracle ERP Cloud FX Rates to Oracle EPM Cloud
In Data Integration, customers can now extract exchange rates (FX rates) from the Oracle ERP Cloud using an ERP Cloud FX Rate adapter. The adapter is used as a data source in Data Integration. The adapter enables customers to select daily conversion rates for specific combinations of foreign currency, dates, and conversion rate types.
Smart View (Mac and Browser only) Updates
In this update, the following features are being added to Smart View’s Mac and Browser-based add-ins.
Submit Numeric Zero as Replacement for Missing Values
With the new Submit Zero option, you can choose to submit numeric zero values in place of #Missing label.
Add More Dimension Rows in Function Builder
For HsGetValue and HsSetValue functions, you can now add more dimension rows to the Members List in the Function Builder. The number of rows in a function was limited to 10. Now, you can add more rows and enter additional dimensions as needed – click the Add button to add a new row at the bottom of the Member List.
User Interface Improvements
There have been improvements to the user interface in the Home and User Preferences panel, including the addition of a right-click menu in the Home panel and a Variables tab in User Preferences. Also, the “Member Name and Alias” display option has been added, allowing the display of the member name and its alias to be displayed in separate columns for your row dimension(s).
Planning (Workforce Module)
New Custom Template
The Workforce custom template, “OWP_Custom Template”, now supports more templates. Also, these templates now support OWP_Custom Template: OWP_Calculate Employee Compensation_Te, OWP_Process Loaded Data_T, OWP_Synchronize Defaults_T, and OWP_Synchronize Definition_T.
Workforce Batch Rules Updated to Improve Performance
The Number of Editable Rows in Mass Update Forms Now Limited
Workforce now limits the number of rows that can be edited at one time in the Mass Update forms. If you attempt to edit more rows than the limit, you’ll receive an error message.
